Hellfire Chili #SundaySupper Chili Cook-off

I am so super super excited about this weeks Sunday Supper!  If you follow Yours And Mine Are Ours on Facebook you may remember me asking for your favorite chili ingredients.  That was all in preparation for this weeks Chili Cook-Off!  I took all of the responses I received, picked out the most popular and then took them to a whole new spicy level … Hellfire Chili level!  If you like your chili on the mild side you will definitely need to remove the heat that comes from an assortment of habanero, cayenne, serrano, anaheim and jalapeno peppers.  This chili is mouthwatering delicious but definitely not easy on the gut so make sure you take your antacids first unless you’re still lucky enough to have an iron gut!

Hellfire Chili - YoursAndMineAreOurs

Oh, and the prize for winning this Chili Cook-Off you ask… a ticket to the Food & Wine Conference!  This may not mean much if you’re not a Food Blogger but to those of us that are it’s HUGE!  So, if you love my Hellfire Chili please take a moment to visit the voting link and vote for me. Voting is taking place over at the Sunday Supper Movement Online Community Magazine.  Once on the page scroll down to where you see the pictures.  Click the Star with Vote Now that is above the chili you would like to vote for. 🙂  That’s it!  Simple!

  30. I made this chili the other night. . . I was a little disappointed because it wasn't spicy at all. I left the seeds in the peppers, and even added an extra habanero I had left in the fridge. I think I will try it again without the A-1 sauce, and chili beans (just regular canned black beans drained) and add more hot peppers. Thanks
    • I'm sorry it wasn't hot enough for you. I often find that the heat of peppers will vary, even with the same type of pepper, from pepper to pepper. For this reason I tend to have extras available just in case. I hope you enjoy it with your adjustments.
